Kimberley Western Australia
Our tour and charter services are located in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. Since it’s our home and one the best truly natural wilderness regions of Western Australia, we thought you might like to read about the best place in the world!
How Big Is The Kimberley Region?
The Kimberley region of Western Australia simply has to be one of the most visually stunning areas in the state. The sheer size of this pristine Australian wilderness can shock.
Measuring in at over 422,000 square kilometers, the Kimberley’s size is mind blowing.
There are many small communities and larger townships within the region. However the population numbers per square kilometer is tiny compared the it’s overall size. The Kimberley is a vast and beautiful area of Australia.
Where Are We Located Exactly?
The town where our services are located is Derby.
The township first started it’s life servicing pastoral farmers in the area around 1880. After the construction of the jetty in the subsequent gold rush in 1885, Derby found a new focus. In present day, the highlight on the Derby calendar has to be the Boab Festival….but more about that historical party another time.
